This Mini feels fast at 60 km/h. At 120 km/h it is mostly loud. It belongs on town streets and mountain passes, not on long motorway journeys. With 63 PS it feels quick because you sit so close to the road.
We see it as a weekend driver that was built to be used, so light wear is simply part of its character. People wave at it, which few cars manage, and the costly jobs are already done.

OUR VIEW
Our ratings use one scale shared by every car we list.
Engagement ★★★★★
The steering is direct and quick, so you can place the car on the road to the centimetre and feel everything it does.
Ownership ★★★★☆
Parts are available and cheap, most towns have someone who knows the A-series, and rust is the cost to watch.
Usability ★★★☆☆
It parks anywhere and is easy in town, while the small boot and cramped driving position are worth trying first.
Touring ★☆☆☆☆
Short gearing and a firm ride bring real noise above 100 km/h, so two hours at a time is plenty for most.
HISTORY
The last evolution of the classic Mini
The 1300 MPI was the final version of the classic Mini. Multi-point injection arrived in 1996, and production ended in October 2000. This car wears British Racing Green with Porcelain Green leather, a combination you see far less often than the usual black or red trim.
It was delivered new in Germany in November 1997 and imported to Poland in 2021. The body was fully restored in 2023. All work was carried out with original and period-correct Mini parts, and a carVertical report is available on request.
