Event Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern participation in the car events organised by us. By registering or completing a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.

1. Organiser

2. The event

We organise car-focused events, including multi-day, self-driven driving tours combining driving with culinary and cultural experiences. The route, dates, programme, participant limit, and what is included are described on the booking page for each event.

3. Eligibility and vehicle requirements

Each participant must, for the full duration of the event:

  • be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driving licence (at least one licensed driver per vehicle);

  • bring a roadworthy, road-legal vehicle that is properly registered and suitable for the event;

  • ensure the vehicle is in good working condition before and throughout the event.

The participant is responsible for the condition and legal compliance of their vehicle at all times.

4. Safety and conduct

  • Our events are not races. Participants must drive safely, responsibly, and in compliance with all applicable traffic laws.

  • Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited.

  • Participants must behave respectfully towards other participants, staff, and the public.

We may exclude any participant, without refund, who drives dangerously, is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or seriously breaches traffic law or these terms.

5. Booking and payment

A place is confirmed only once the full price has been received. Where booking is made through our website, payment is taken at checkout. Where a separate registration form is used, the fee must be paid within the period stated at registration; failure to pay within that period may result in cancellation of the registration. Bookings are personal to the named participant(s). Places are limited and allocated on a first-paid basis.

6. Price — included and excluded

Each event's price, and what it includes, are stated on its booking page. Unless stated otherwise, the price does not include fuel for your own vehicle, road tolls and vignettes, lunches, personal expenses, or travel to and from the start point. We are not registered for Swiss VAT; prices are quoted without VAT.

7. If you cannot attend

We do not operate a fixed cancellation schedule. If you know you cannot attend, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can try to find a solution. Any refund of amounts paid is at the organiser's discretion and depends on the costs already committed for your place.

8. Changes or cancellation by the organiser

We may cancel an event if the minimum number of participants is not reached, or for reasons of force majeure — events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, pandemics, road closures, or governmental restrictions. If we cancel for these reasons, you will be offered a place on a rescheduled event or a full refund of amounts paid. We may also make reasonable changes to the route, accommodation, or programme where necessary; material changes will be communicated as early as possible. Beyond the refund described here, we are not liable for a participant's other costs (such as travel or fuel) arising from a cancellation or change.

9. Right of withdrawal (consumers in the EU/EEA)

Under Article 16(l) of Directive 2011/83/EU, the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for leisure services provided on a specific date or during a specific period. As each event is tied to specific dates, EU/EEA consumers have no right of withdrawal once booked. Section 7 applies instead.

10. Assumption of risk and liability

Participants acknowledge that driving involves inherent risks, including traffic accidents and adverse weather, and take part at their own risk. Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by Article 100 of the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO). In particular:

  • we are liable for damage caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct; this liability is not excluded;

  • to the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for slight negligence and for indirect or consequential loss;

  • we are not liable for damage, injury, loss, or accidents arising from a participant's own driving, the condition of a participant's vehicle, or a participant's failure to comply with traffic law or these terms;

  • mandatory liability for personal injury or death caused by fault is not excluded or limited.

You remain responsible for your own vehicle, passengers, and conduct throughout the event.

11. Insurance

Participants must hold valid and adequate insurance covering their vehicle and personal liability for all countries on the route, including, where required, an International Insurance Card (Green Card). Proof of insurance must be provided on request.

12. Third-party suppliers

Some services (e.g. hotels, restaurants) are provided by independent third parties. We select these suppliers with due care but are not liable for their acts or omissions beyond any liability arising from our own negligent selection.

13. Media and image rights

We arrange professional photography and videography at our events. By participating, you agree that images and footage taken during the event, which may include you and your vehicle, belong to the organiser and its photographers, and that we may use them for our promotional and commercial purposes without further consent or payment. If you do not wish to appear, please inform the event contact in writing before the event.

14. Indemnity

Each participant is liable for damage or loss they cause to third parties, to suppliers, or to the organiser through their own fault during the event, and shall hold the organiser harmless from third-party claims arising from such conduct. This does not extend to matters for which we are responsible under Section 10.

15. Data protection

Personal data collected for a booking is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law (Swiss revFADP and, where relevant, the GDPR).

16. Amendments

We may amend these terms from time to time. The version accepted at the time of your booking applies to that booking; amended terms apply to bookings made after the change. Where a material change to a booked event becomes necessary, Section 8 applies.

17. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Kanton Zug, Switzerland. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions, including a consumer's right to bring proceedings at their place of domicile, remain reserved.
