OUR VIEW
The gated manual 360, Swiss delivered
The 360 made the mid-engined Ferrari V8 usable, and the gated six-speed is the version collectors look for. The 400 PS V8 sits right behind the driver, and the metal gate makes every change a deliberate, mechanical act. It rewards precision.
This car has been looked after properly. Its known weak points have been addressed, and the interior is close to new, which is rarer on a 360 than the mileage suggests. The invoices are on file.
Our ratings use one scale shared by every car we list.
Engagement ★★★★★
A gated manual, a flat-plane V8 to 8,500 rpm and hydraulic steering that reports every change in grip.
Ownership ★★★★☆
The four-yearly timing belt change is done with the engine in place, which keeps the cost reasonable.
Usability ★★★☆☆
The low, long nose makes city streets a challenge, although the front boot is surprisingly large for a road trip.
Touring ★★☆☆☆
Low, stiffly sprung, with direct steering and a loud exhaust, it is rewarding for an hour and tiring over a whole day.
HISTORY
Swiss-delivered, with a full service book
The 360 Modena arrived in 1999 as the successor to the F355, with a 3.6-litre flat-plane V8, and most buyers chose the F1 paddle gearbox. The gated manual is the rarer car, and the one to have.
This car was delivered new in Switzerland and first registered in July 2000, and its stamped service book runs from new. The full history is documented with The Motor Chain and goes to the new owner, together with the leather tool roll, tyre inflator, car cover and owner's manuals in their leather wallet.

CONDITION
Checked by us and open to your own inspection
2 Excellent
This car earns a 2 with protected paint, an interior close to new and every expensive job already done and documented. The Tubi exhaust and the fragile interior plastics typical of the model keep it from a 1.
1 Concours | 2 Excellent | 3 Very Good | 4 Good
The car is original with matching numbers, and its only deviation from factory specification is a Tubi exhaust.
Originality
Interior
The Cuoio leather is in concours condition, and the whole interior looks almost new, with no sticky buttons.
Brembo cross-drilled discs and pads and a new AC compressor and drier in May 2024, with a new clutch in 2008.
Mechanical
Body
The body is in excellent condition and, like every 360, built in aluminium from spaceframe to panels.
The front bumper was refinished in 2023, and the front end and sills are covered by ceramic-coated PPF.
Paint
Service history
The book is stamped from new, with timing belts renewed regularly, most recently in August 2022 at 47,571 km.
WORTH KNOWING
The interior plastics are fragile, as they are on every 360, and need careful handling.
A Tubi exhaust is fitted in place of the factory system, the only change from the original car.
