ONE TANK TOUR
Explore Schwarzwald
One tank*. One road. One weekend.
This is not a road trip - it is a reminder of why you drive.
From Zurich, we head north into the Black Forest: around 500 kilometers of sweeping curves, dense pine roads, and the kind of tarmac that makes you forget you had a destination. One night, one tank, one road worth remembering.
We end the day the right way - a shared dinner, a five-star bed in Baden-Baden, and a car park full of people who get it.
By Sunday evening, we’re back home. Slightly low on fuel. Completely full of everything else.
*Warning: some cars may require two tanks. We don't judge.
Itinerary
Day 1
The weekend kicks off in Zürich (or if it’s more convenient for you to join us on the route, we will arrange a meeting point). After a morning briefing over coffee, we head north across the Hochrhein into Germany, picking up the back-roads that wind up the eastern flank of the Black Forest. The afternoon delivers the day's signature stretch – the L159 through Schenkenzell, a tight Landesstraße that drops west into the Kinzigtal. From there we follow the river valley along the B294 toward Gengenbach before turning north for the final run into Baden-Baden. Arrive in the late afternoon with time to settle in before the evening begins.
Saturday
-
08:30 Coffee & briefing
09:30 Convoy rolls out of Zürich (~220 km, ~4 hours behind the wheel, 95% back-roads)
13:00 Lunch break
16:00 Baden-Baden (check-in & free time)
20:00 Group dinner
A proper breakfast and a relaxed start in Baden-Baden. Sunday's route covers the southern half of the Schwarzwald - quieter than Saturday, denser forest, more elevation change. We pick up the famous B500 Schwarzwaldhochstraße, heading south through the Gutachtal toward Triberg for a photo stop at the waterfalls, then we thread the high passes around Schluchsee and Titisee on the way back to the Hochrhein. The final hour drops us back across the Swiss border at Koblenz and into Zürich. Home by early evening. The car will smell like pine and brake dust and show an empty tank warning. That's the point.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
-
Anything you'd happily drive 500 km in for fun. Classic, modern, supercar, hot hatch - doesn't matter. This is a driving event, not a concours. The only real requirement is that it's reliable enough to make it home Sunday evening, and the kind of car the rest of the convoy will be glad to see in the rearview mirror.
-
Yes. Book the Driver + Co-driver package - same car, two seats filled, includes a second seat at dinner and a shared room at the hotel. If you're flying solo, the Solo Driver package is the right one.
-
If booking is closed, it means all spots have been taken - there's no way to join this particular event. Our events have limited spots, so it's always worth booking as soon as you see it go live. We're already planning the next ones, so keep an eye on our social media where we share all upcoming events as soon as they're available.
-
Per our Booking Terms, we don't have a refunds policy. Life happens though - if you find yourself in that situation and can't make it, let us know ASAP and we'll help you find someone to take your spot.
-
We drive. The Schwarzwald is good in any weather, the roads are most of the fun regardless of conditions, and the Steigenberger SPA is always there if anyone wants a quiet afternoon between drives. We only postpone for genuine safety reasons - heavy snow, road closures and if that happens you'll be the first to know.
-
You'll have the convoy and the WhatsApp group. Someone will stop, someone will help, and we'll wait. Bring your own roadside assistance for anything beyond a push-start - most classic and modern owners already carry this. The route stays close to civilisation, you won't be stranded on a forest road in the dark.
-
Fuel, tolls, parking, and anything mechanical are on you. Saturday lunch, Sunday lunch, and your drinks at dinner aren't included either - we'll point you at the right stops along the route. Insurance and roadside assistance are your own. Everything else (hotel, Saturday dinner, Sunday breakfast, roadbook, photography, the starter bag) is in.
